End of Beginning
Hey!
Reflecting on everything that’s happened so far, I realize there was so much to lose—yet everything to gain.
What if I had made a different decision? Would I still be in this city?
I still see familiar faces—the ones whose voices once called out to me every day. Would I still be sitting across from them, just a cubicle away, had I chosen to follow the rules and stick to the crowd?
The streets still look the same. The crowds wander aimlessly. Everyone seems to be headed somewhere—a place they believe will finally feel like home.
I watch an old woman stringing a garland together. Destiny will decide where it ends up. She sneezes, then smiles, gently continuing her work, pouring quiet love into the vibrant flowers.
A dark blue car passes by, decorated with red ribbons. A young man drives it with pride, a gleam in his eyes—perhaps a long-awaited dream come true.
A little girl clutches a toy she must have wished for countless times. Her brother stands beside her, just as thrilled. Rakhi is around the corner.
Outside a temple, the doors are shut, but people—young and old—stand in prayer. Their hopes, their voices, and their dreams all rose into the evening air. Different ways of praying. Different goals. But all yearning for the same thing: to feel at home, whatever “home” means to them.
That’s the thing about certain cities. You can walk away from them, but somehow, they always find a way to pull you back—like a boomerang.
And me? I haven’t come this far just to come this far.
I still have a journey to take, with countless beautiful views along the way, and a destination I’m slowly making my way toward: home.
But maybe the real question is—
Am I searching for a place…
Or for a feeling I once knew, now hidden somewhere between time and choices?
Song - End of Beginning
To the many conversations that have lived quietly in my head—
Thank you for the clarity, the chaos, and the company.
I’ll be back soon.
With more words, more thoughts,
and a heart still learning its way home.
:)
